Piercing FAQ
General Information

does it hurt?

Yes, piercings do hurt but will vary in pain from not only person to person but also depending on body part.

Do you use a piercing gun?

No, you cannot sterilise piercing guns and often the jewellery used is not safe for the healing process. Sterile hospital grade cannulas are used.

What material is the jewellery you use?

All healing material is high grade titanium. We steer clear of materials such as surgical steel as often there are traces of nickel in them. Jewellery changes for healed piercings can be upgraded to materials such as Gold and Silver.

What Piercings do you offer?

Any above waist piercings are available at the studio, as well as surface bars and dermal anchors. Specialised piercings such as these will be a consultation before your appointment.

Is there a possibility I will not be able to get a piercing?

Every clients anatomy is different and sometimes certain areas aren't best suited for piercings and there may be restrictions to what is available to you. If you have any concerns regarding your appointment, feel free to contact the studio prior.

What should i avoid after being pierced?

Once pierced, avoid strongly fragranced products such as perfumes and hair products as much as possible. Take extra care when brushing your hair, exercising playing sport, sleeping and wearing headphones.

What do i do if im concerned about my piercing?

It is normal for your piercing to feel hot and for swelling to occur. It may stay tender for a few weeks after being pierced however If after a 3 days your piercing still feels hot, please seek medical advice without removing the piercing
